SUCCEED Florida – Career Paths Grants

The 2007 Legislative session authorized additional funding to establish secondary career and professional (CAP) academies that integrate academic and career curriculum through a career-based theme.  This initiative aligns Workforce Education Programs with Skill Requirements of the New Economy.

Funds may not supplant current funding and must be used to plan or implement new CAP academies or to redesign existing career education programs to become CAP academies.

An Academy Coordinator is the additional personnel which will be paid for from the grant—approximately $22,000 from each of two grants.

Request approval of Grant Proposals are presented.

Grant proposal amount = $ 75,000 for each of the three grant proposals which are to be used to implement new academies.
